When SharePoint Meets AI...

Welcome to another episode of the newsletter! The roadmap news is short but so powerful. Both of the SharePoint-related copilots have finally hit the official roadmap. I’ve also seen the first sign of Copilot’s presence in SharePoint. Have you noticed that the Text Web Part has a copilot button now?

We also got some clarification that Click to Copilot Copilot Agents for SharePoint will require Copilot for M365 licenses. We’ll see how this is received by the community. I think it’ll have a really big impact, for good and bad reasons. I’ll be on the lookout for this feature hitting my tenant next month so I can confirm some suspicions.

In the meantime, keep working hard and don’t let anyone between you and the success you’re working towards. It doesn’t matter if it’s a career goal or a personal one. Keep grinding. Make sure to forward this email to a friend who needs to stay up to date as well!

Copilot agents in SharePoint

What was called Click to Copilot before has been rebranded, right before launch. This feature lets you create a custom copilot right from SharePoint. Basic functionality is included, with advanced functionality through customization in Copilot Studio. This is rolling out in preview in October 2024. Link to roadmap

Authoring Copilot in SharePoint

This is the other copilot announced for SharePoint. This lets you create and customize pages in the page editing experience. This is equally exciting and will roll out into preview in December 2024. Link to roadmap
