New Year. New You!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed some time off, or at least quieter days in the office while others were off.

Microsoft has started getting back to work and publishing some updates, but it’s nothing too crazy this week. January should be a very newsworthy month, so stay tuned for some exciting news.

I did some rebranding of my online course platform, and it will now be called Modern Work Mastery. I also launched a brand new course on SharePoint lists. I’ve talked to many people last year who were using lists, but they were barely scratching the surface. As a result, it took them much longer to do their work, and they were missing out on a lot of the underutilized/unknown features. This course will absolutely fix that for them and for you! It’s actually the longest course to date that I’ve made. If you’re new to SharePoint (less than 5 years), you’ll get a ton of value with all the research I put into this, and I’m launching this course with a limited time discount. Check out the new course, because nearly everyone will get a lot of value from it.

ROADMAP
SharePoint: Additional support on SPAC to identify different types of Embedded containers and their principal owner

This update for the SP Admin Center will show the owners of SP Embedded containers, and also the type of container it is (user, tenant, and group). This will be great for organizations that have many containers deployed and need to locate or better govern the container landscape. Link to roadmap

Modifications in the Embedded container type creation cmdlets in PowerShell

Some changes are coming to the PowerShell commandlets. Add-SPOContainerType will be added soon to facilitate the addition of a new billing profile for containers. This should be good for organizations and vendors who need better automation of their SharePoint Embedded containers. This is rolling out this month! Link to roadmap
