New web parts on their way!

This week is going to be big for me. I become a public speaker on Friday as I present during Community Days Los Angeles. Hopefully they’ll record my session (I’ll post a link if they do), because my session will be about SharePoint Premium, showcasing several features that can have a big impact on business with little to no setup. I hope to see some of you there.

There’s an interesting thing coming out I wasn’t aware of until this week. This Editorial Card web part (see the roadmap below) could be really good depending on how it looks. Of course, that depending on the actual details, since we don’t have much to go on. One thing that occurred to me this week as I was talking to some of my clients is that Microsoft is taking out some of the little used web parts and replacing them with newer, more impactful web parts. That trend will continue and I think we’ll see more new web parts announced soon. Could it lead up to something BIG at the Ignite conference later this year? I’ve got my fingers crossed.
