BIG news out of Microsoft Build. Here's the highlights.

Users creating their own copilots in SharePoint???

Such big news came out this week from the Microsoft Build conference. We got another Copilot for SharePoint, as well as a lot of major functionality announced for Copilot. Microsoft certainly intends to make sure all users are aware of Copilot, and are tying it all into Copilot Studio. That being said, if you haven’t started getting experience in it, now is the time. Users will soon be able to create their own copilots (in SharePoint, even), and customize them using Copilot Studio. Luckily for us, the brand new Copilot Studio interface looks much cleaner and simpler. I believe the interface will stay this way for awhile, so I’ll start creating some content around this in the future. After all, if users will have access, we’ll need to support them! Now lets get into the specifics of the news…

Create custom copilots from SharePoint

At Microsoft Build, a NEW Copilot is being added. This one will allow you to have site-specific copilots, grounded on the site’s data. It’ll also allow users to create their own custom copilot, and even customize it in Copilot Studio! This means learning Copilot Studio is inevitable for all of us. Expect to see more Copilot related content from me to make sure you’ve got the skillset to support this - https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-sharepoint-blog/microsoft-build-2024-create-custom-copilots-from-sharepoint/ba-p/4146527

P.S. Look for my video Monday that covers the new Copilot for SharePoint!
