Back To The Grind. Grab Some Coffee ☕
It’s been a slow start to the year for most people. Lots of vacation time resulted in this week being a bit slow in terms of news. I’ve had a lot of conversations with customers lately about the new agents for SharePoint feature, though. There’s a lot of interest in having a copilot inside SharePoint sites. I believe this will continue throughout the year as more customers get acquainted with agents. They want to better serve their users, and reduce the time they spend looking for information.
If you have M365 Copilot, I highly recommend spending some time learning about these things. It’ll only get more complex once Copilot Studio integration is added to these agents.
On a recent (public) webinar, a product manager hinted that something is going to change in the SharePoint Premium world. Ian Story, the product manager, wouldn’t go into detail, but he dropped the hint when I asked about the Syntex references that still exist in the documentation and the M365 Admin Center. It does make me wonder what will happen. The products aren’t going away, to my knowledge, but they haven’t gotten much marketing pushes compared to many other products. I think that whatever they do, a marketing campaign will accompany it to raise awareness of these AI-based features.
