Another Rebrand From Microsoft??

In partnership with

This last week is expected to be fairly quiet at Microsoft, to no one’s surprise. Employees are taking time off for the holidays so they can spend more time with their families. In fact, I may not send out another newsletter edition until January unless something major happens or is announced.

January will bring lots of news as features roll out and other announcements are made. This year had a LOT in terms of that, and I expect next year to be even more impactful. This was my first year as a Microsoft MVP, and it certainly keeps me busy! One of the great benefits is the information I receive (under NDA) to know what’s coming, and why. I use that to strategically drive my content across all channels, so that I can keep you up to date.

With that in mind, I always want to keep you, the reader of SharePoint Insights, in my mind, first and foremost. If you have questions or concerns about topics, or other things like how to advance in your SharePoint career, I want to hear from you. I want you to succeed in your career. There’s so many levels to our profession, regardless of being internal IT or consulting. Personally, I find consulting so much more rewarding because I encounter constant challenges, which keeps me razor sharp (on most days 🤣). When I was internal IT, I never faced many challenges, and staying to up to date on skills was always a challenge.

Please, let me know how I can help you when it comes to learning and knowledge to advance your career, though. Just reply to this email! While I can’t advise on technical issues through email, I can certainly offer you a consulting session if needed! When it comes to my content, free or paid, let me know if I’m not addressing the topics you’re interested in. I’d like a chance to address it!

In other news, I’m hearing a lot about this “rebrand” of Microsoft 365 to M365 Copilot, at least as far as the icon goes. Totally confusing, right??? I have a note in the roadmap below about this announcement which was revealed at Ignite. It’s such a confusing move for Microsoft, but it will become clear in the near future. Things won’t be this confusing for long. Until then, don’t pay much attention to it. The core Microsoft 365 product name isn’t changing.

Enjoy this holiday time with your family and rest up for 2025. You are going to make improvements in your skills and lead the way into 2026. I’m going to do everything I can to make that happen. Make sure to forward this email to a friend who needs to stay up to date as well!
